I remember over a decade ago i watched a documentary about guys struggling to pick up girls and was thinking "he just needs to approach more" , fast forward its pretty clear why he was in the situation he was in.

Why was my brain so unaware and unable to comprehend basic observation.

He tried to approach and she said "Omg ew" he then wants to leave as he lost confidence.

The documentary just goes around blaming him for not being confident enough. This was the era of the bluepill when the redpill was moving out of the underground.

Now when i watch the documentary its crystal clear to why they are in this situation

Full documentary here

I think most people are already aware in their childhood the world is not fair but this knowledge somehow gets overshadowed in puberty, a kind of optimism kicks in with hormones. Then as this newfound optimism doesn't manifest in the real life for most people so they become numb and accept life for what is somewhere after they are done with their education and start to work.
