If we going completely honest. Looks matters alot. But personality also matter. Think of as. Your looks for first impression. Maintaining your relationship needs a good personality. So max both of them.

Yeah, I feel like it can lead to paralysis. As you’ll have to come to terms with the brutal reality of life. And you're probably not going to have what it takes (the genetics) to live a life bonfide 8+. I feel like that often leads to people not trying to actually change anything but just giving up.

Which, yes, you’re capped to a certain extent in what you can achieve. But even with that, many have greater hopes than that. And shunning that completely out probably isn’t the answer. Unless you got the inhib to truly carry the burden, then idk.

The honest to god truth is that life really and truly is that cold.
Yes personality is important for navigating the daily social situations you encounter. Yes it’s important for people close to you. But at the end of the day, if you aren’t either
a) Someone’s blood relative
b) Genetically outstanding

People wouldn’t even think about your death for more than a day. If some nice old dude in your neighborhood passed, do you think it would really matter to you? Do you think you’d sit there dwelling on it for weeks upon end?

Now, if some 10/10 chick said “get the fuck out of my face, loser!”, you would carry that memory with you until the day you died.

Same, I’ve been in and out of that boat.

Earlier in life I didn’t realize what the feeling was. But to be honest, I’ve gotten slightly better at handling my doomer emotions. As I've gotten through these last few years.

Just think you've got to give some things time. At least that's my headcanon/cope.
