Everyone hates on the final episode, which I partially agree with.
I like how they ended the series. I think Butcher's death, him being buried next to his wife is a great finale of his story and I also liked legacy of other characters.
The main problem is with finale is the scale. Everyone was expecting something big, which is fair. Homelander was presented like a god, a final boss, so everyone was expecting elden ring boss fight type shit, only for him to be solo defeated by side character and then beaten up by Butcher while trying to suck his cock.
I agree that writing was bullshit. Homelander was way more powerful earlier in the series and now, with v1, you'd expect him to be unbeatable. But for some reason, even before being blasted, he wasn't able to beat up Butcher and his son. I swear, he tried to fly away like 5 times at least, but was interrupted every time.
All that marketing only for moment everyone was waiting for to last 15 minutes.
Also felt really bad for the Deep
