If you rewatch any scene from season 1 it will put it into perspective how much the writing has fallen off. 7 episodes of the final season felt like filler then the rushed the last episode and defeated homelander in a way that didnt feel earnt. Also the cinematography from season 1 was just so much better

yeah season 5 was very confusing, and hyping homelanders death for 5 seasons just to be a 10 minute cutscene was just a horrible way to end it

i also found the beam that takes powers away a stupid solution, it felt too easy at the end
