Dude, Holden Caufield, the main character from that novel, is literally DBDR.

The book is basically about an american kid around 18 years old complaining about life and overall his shitty family, how people are so fake and performative, and how everything is fucked.

I know it sounds "sigma" ironically, like the joker memes about "society", but here it's pretty good. It really reminds me of DBDR in its cynicism, its fun to consume even though it gets you nowhere.

I really recommend it, though, cause its fun. Its really funny and also kinda depressing cause he's right in many things. Much like DBDR, he's also not seeing the bright side on some things, his perspective is really clouded. It's a defense mechanism. I think it really confronts you if you agree with him, which you probably will, i think it fits the incel/blackpill sphere quite well.

On seconds thoughts, I wouldn't even say its depressing, its quite nostalgic, bittersweet, a coming of age.

Nigga shut up fuck you and that book
