I saw this reddit post on contraversial opinions and decided to add my two cents, what do you guys think of this.

So you may have heard about the guy who made a post on looksmaxx.com about his next rape victim that included her photo and personal info.
A lot of you incels think that telling the woman he threatened to rape is doxxing and we’re harassing a minor for a “joke”.
Little do you know, telling a girl she was threatened with rape and doxxed is warning her, not doxxing the rapist. Doxxing is giving personal info. The person who “doxxed” him didn’t dig up his personal info, they simply told the real victim of doxxing what was up and she might have told someone else (probably a relative or friend) who beat him up.
You say it was just a joke but jokes are funny and/or harmless. Posting a girl’s photo without her permission, calling her your next rape victim, AND giving her Instagram TO COMPLETE STRANGERS is a CRIME not a joke! It doesn’t matter if he’s a minor. Minors can commit crimes too and he deserves to at least be fingerprinted and his name put into a repository.

It wasn't a rape threat though. He didn't tell her he was gonna rape her, he made a post on a 100% male forum about a girl he had a crush on.
First thing you have to be completely stupid to believe that if someone was actually on his way to rape a person, he'd be posting about it on internet forums. Secondly, the culture of looksmax.me, although very very outlandish seeming from the outside, is just the culmination of locker room talk.
Let's be honest here, women talk all the time about how much they'd like to rape guys who they have a crush on when talking to each other, obviously it's not an actual rape threat.
The problem here is that somebody who is not meant to be a part of this locker room talk intervened and brung something that wasn't meant to be a serious thing into a major issue.
What he did isn't a crime because he didn't do it publically - or at least he didn't THINK what he was saying would end up being public. His privacy was tempered with, which lead to him being beaten up in real life. This is fucked up and not something I can stand behind.
Now, the retaliation of looksmax.me users against u/goneph1shing who was responsible for contacting his crush is also horrible. So far at least one innocent woman has had her reputation marked over this, and I also do not condone the actions lead by .me users.
In all honesty, my opinion is that manosphere forums should be private, so that issues like this wouldn't arise.
I wouldn't want the things I say when I'm taking a shower to be plastered all over the city I live in, privacy is important.
