Because Arab lebanese(majority christian country)all saw israel as liberator during the civil war.
there was no chaos in ME when it was pagan and or christian.
muslims basically see dar al islam as permanent dar al islam and the rest dar al harb that must be conquered.
and it is a humiliation for them to have former muslim land as jewish land,especially when they see jews as Dhimmis.
look at how they bomb the Copts in egypt,persecute Iraqi and Syrian Christians etc
I'm sure if the middle east remained christian,and israel decided to look like it is now,the christian Arabs would have supported their efforts.
