So yesterday I went out with this chick, I am 5'8" and she is 5'7" I was heightmaxxing to 5'10" in my Nike Air Max 720's with Dr Scholls running insoles, and she was wearing running shoes and probably at 5'8.5"ish range. She kept making jokes about our height and that the size of some of her fingers were longer than mine ( her pinky and 2nd finger ) and that her limbs are longer than mine ( she had freakishly long thighs and arms for her height ). When going outside I would say I was at lower end of average height.
The next day I went to work wearing boots that give me 2 inches ( that they give us ) and put in a 1 inch lift into them to be at 5'11" boots height. At work everyone else was wearing boots, but being at 5'11" boot height put me in at the upper end of average in height and the only person who "heightmogged" me or that I felt short around is my 6'6" co worker. But the difference is that in his running shoes and me in my air max 720's my eye sight was usually at neck level and even in the boots it moved my eye sight to around chin level on him and the top of my head would probably be around lip level.
If your under 6 foot, every inch is a pretty noticeable difference.
