I see a lot of people saying that plastic surgery is expensive and a luxury when your money could be better spent on other things.
However, I want to point out that money spent on plastic surgery and ascending pays for itself through the halo effect:
Considering these benefits, the £15,000-£40,000 it takes to ascend to the point of experiencing the halo effect—or at least not being held back by looks—is more than justified.
The total cost of being ugly can easily reach £100,000s over a lifetime, or even more if you’re just a betabuxx and get divorce-raped.
However, I want to point out that money spent on plastic surgery and ascending pays for itself through the halo effect:
- Easier to pass the interview stage, reducing unemployment time
- Better salary negotiation leverage when looking good vs ugly
- Higher career prospects with better salaries and easier access to lucrative industries like consulting vs back office
- Running your own business becomes easier, as looking good helps attract clients and close sales
- Lower dating costs, as you can get away with cheaper hotels, meals, places, material goods, etc.
- No need to compensate with luxury cars, clothes, household goods, and other materialistic items
- Lower social costs, with people buying you drinks and not needing to pay for VIP treatment
- Reduced risk of divorce and financial losses from divorce
Considering these benefits, the £15,000-£40,000 it takes to ascend to the point of experiencing the halo effect—or at least not being held back by looks—is more than justified.
