People in the west just don't get children is because people become so occupied with leisure activities that they don't want the "burden" of raising kids.

Kids are stressful and the newer generations are too soft to bear that kind of responsibility. Plus in this day and age it's all about looks so if your genes are trash it's nothing but suffering for that kid.
