Well now you have your answer. They aren't going to ban elections in the traditional sense. They are just going make them irrelevant by literally creating their own countries, presumably with the end goal of eventually replacing the original national governments.
The end game is here. First they will use covid to usher in the police state so that nobody can do shit against them, and then they will form their own states so that they can do whatever the hell they want. Totalitarian technocratic feudalism is here.
