Controversial take, but building from this, it's why I'm not against porn. I'm against idleness and slothfulness which is the vehicle for the damaging effects of porn. Idle hands is the devil's workshop. The Old Testament criticises sluggards, if ants could go build their base without being shouted at then humans could too. If you truly are working on something you won't have time to waste on excessive pornography, you would just use it as an occasional outlet to bounce back.

Idleness leads to excessive gluttony like pornography and it becomes the ultimate recipe of disaster then people blame pornography as the cause, but I think they're putting the cart before the horse. If it isn't pornography it'll be something else like vainglory, doomscrolling or whatever damaging stuff there is that is amplified idle hands.

*I'm not a Christian/Jew but I like reading ancient texts because it helps understanding universal timeless human behaviours.
