This is a common way to look at it, and admittedly I can't say much more is wrong with having a mutual gain of sexual gratification than mutual gain of not being bored or lonely by hanging out with friends. The issue is just when we don't see people as the end goal and rather a means to an end. It will come to your own philosophical views at the end of the day but I'd encourage you to get familiar with the works of Immanuel Kant, he will help you read schopenhauer later anyway as it is a prerequisite to understanding
