The existence of objects is merely nominal.

Pretty sure we had a cousin who was stronger and smarter than us; not sure which one it was now, but their critical flaw was their inability to communicate effectively. That was where we came in!
With gene editing on the rise a somewhat crept scenario plays out

Just imagine a world where everyone is perfect

Everyone is tall, good looking, high iq etc

So what would separate the classes if everyone is essentially the same?

Either society would become purely egalitarian or in my opinion the more likely scenario is that there’s a return to aristocracy based on bloodlines

But the most likely scenario is that gene editing will be severely limited because if your population is comprised entirely of ubermensch they’re hard to control

Im not going to think about this stuff until I’m about 60 years old. I took a hefty amount of magic mushrooms once and since then I kinda feel how fake life is and how everything is simulated, trying to fade back into life and then when I’m older imma see what I’m gonna do

Sounds like you’re paranoid.

Mereological nihilism. Does anything in the world really begin to exist?

The Kalam cosmological argument immediately springs to mind.

P1: Everything which begins to exist has a cause;
P2: The universe began to exist;

C: Therefore, the universe has a cause.

But does anything really begin to exist in the way necessary here? Rearranging material with a new name is a fair reductio for what turned already existing parts into the car. If the only thing which makes the car, the car; the fork, the fork, and the clock, the clock, the label I give to it then there is no real difference between the car, the fork, or the clock except an imaginary box called the name.

This can be really counterintuitive, but give it a think! Do you think it's nominal or not? Is identity a property, or something we project onto a noun? I quite like the style of thought applied here.
Forget about it Im way too drunk to understand what
COUNTERINTUITIVE means, nice thread tho
Update=just got home+talked to a russian girl, they are lowkey nicer then I expected

All arbitrary categories and meanings and traits assigned are all arbitrary based on social constructs and their perceived pragmatism

I hate epistemology and philology
