think about it. social media isn’t just showing us pretty people on our fyp for no reason. it’s intentional and the more we see gl ppl on our fyp the more we compare ourselves and feel like were not good enough. this creates a cycle where were always chasing unrealistic standards and at the same time things like surgery and treatments to improve appearance keep getting more expensive. they know looking bad affects peoples confidence and quality of life but they make the solutions so expensive that only a small percentage of people can afford them. the system profits off making ppl feel insecure and then selling ways to fix it
