Im agnostic, I believe there may be a God. But the entity that is God only created thr universe and has no effect on out daily lives.

Religion is a cope used so humans can justify why they are sufferring and not fall into pessimism and cynicism. So they can look forward to something and hope things will get better even if they won't. It gives them hope for the future and peace of mind their sufferring wasn't for nothing.
