The fact that the halo effect is exponential ruined me.

I always thought the halo effect was a linear progression where more attractiveness, will linearly increase the perception of other attributes. While looking at the studies conducted for the halo effect, I found out that its not just a linear increase in perception but an exponential increase in perception of positive attributes as looks increase.

Basically this means that its almost always worth it to looksmax to the max vs the diminishing results you would get to if the halo effect was linear in nature.
