Suppose we take Greco Roman culture as an artefact and examine its attributes we can glean some information pertaining to it such as
Existing in antiquity
Flourishing in athens
Reflecting Greek mythology
Denoting Warrior culture
Etc
Now the relation between the attributes and Greco Roman culture is not one to one that is to say, existing in antiquity does not mean Greco Roman sculpture was the only art form to have existed then. Denoting warrior culture doesn’t mean Greco Roman culture alone was privy to such heroism.
In the same vein whites have the attributes of being
Taller
Stronger
Better looking on average
Richer
Higher media representation
Higher iq
Etc
But it does not follow that every white has even one let alone all attributes in the equation or even that “whiteness” when postulated as desirable is nothing more than logically maximising chances of Pairing up with a white man who has higher probability of sharing one or two of those attributes.
In fact there’s no study that can efficiently even separate the variables so that whiteness as skin colour is proven to be desirable only due to the lack of melanin. Au contraire men on average tend to be darker and every culture worth its salt has the man being one or two shades darker than the woman. The only valuable information that can thus be understood is that light brown skin tone is the most desirable on males whether it be a paki or a brit. Even the so called white worship in Bollywood is more of light brown worship since the most famous high class movie stars are Roshan Siddarth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan- all of them light browns.
Of course undertones differ from pheno to pheno but that does not mean the maximal melanin content should be lighter or darker than light brown
