WHAT DETERMINES FERTILITY
Spermogenesis is the production of sperm,
that occurs is the testicles and it divides mainly in three outputs: sperm morphology (spermiogenesis), sperm count and sperm motility (epididymial maturation).
Sperm morphology refers to the size, shape and appearance of sperm, wich includes head size and head dna content. while the most common cause of (male) infertility is sperm count, sperm morphology can also play a big role, because sperm needs a certain shape to be able to penetrate the outer part of the egg. Most men with abnormal sperm shape can still be able to father a child, but it may need more time or require assitance from a fertility specialist.
Sperm count is the amount of sperm in your semen, a low sperm count can male harder the conceiving of a baby, but it may still be possible to do it naturally. If you still want to have a baby there are some methods that could help you: you should have sex every 2-3 days, drink less alcohol, lose weight if you are a fat fuck, stop smoking and wear loose underwear.
Sperm motility is how well your sperm moves wich is very important for fertility. An healty sperm motility is a sperm with foward progression of at least 25 micrometers per second; if someone has poor sperm motility it is called asthenospermia or asthenozoospermia. the sperm mobility issues are slow progressive motility, non progressive motility or no motility.
The sperm motility problem causes can vary from a undiagnosed medical condition to genetic causes, lifestyle and enviramental factors are also linked to bad sperm motility. Sperm motility can be easily tested by a routine sperm analisis.
LH & FSH
LH and FSH receptors are very important for the fertility. LH is found in leudig cells in the testicles, when LH binds with his receptors it stimates a machinery that converts cholesterol into test: the test produced from Leudig cells enters the testicles. A high intratesticular test concentration is required for a normal spermatogenesis.
FSH is found in Sertoli cells and it stimulates them to develop germ cells and regate the environment where sperm develop.
FACTORS THAT CAN DAMAGE FERTILITY
Prolonged uses of AAS can trigger a series of alterations in the male hormonal system and can lead to the suppression of natural test that can result in a decrease of sperm production and motility. Roids disrupt the normal balance of hormones in the body and this causes infertility, and there is no evidence that intermittent roid cycles can reduce their impact and their effect can be irreversible (but most of the time aren't).
OBESITY
Obesity, diabates and metabolic syndromes have a negative impact on fertility. There is also a lot of evidence that male obesity is correlated negatively to live births via both natural and assistive reproductive technologies. Obesity impairs male fertility by hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis by peripheral aromatization leading to hypogonadotropic hyperestrogenic hypogonadism. Obesity may also impact on spermatogenesis through endocrine distruptors such as insulin, leptin, cortisol and other inflammatory states.
FERTILITY TEST
Fertility can't be tested by testosterone levels, libido, semen volume, erection quality or testicular appearance. the primary test for fertility is semenogram and it evaluates parameters such as sperm concentration, total sperm number, motility, morphology.
Depending on the situation doctors may check LH, FHS, test levels, estradiol and prolactin
HOW TO RESTORE FERTILITY AFTER AN AAS CYCLE (PCT)
It is common knowledge that AAS ruin fertility so now i'm gonna cover how to restore fertility with pct. The good news is that aas associated fertility can often be revesed, altough recovery can take up to months and isn't always guaranteed. The first thing you should do for fertility after a cycle is getting a semen analysis.
HCG/HMG
HCG work similarely as LH (go read the first section) so it stimulates the Leydig cells to produce test and sperm and it can also help with testicular shrinkage. But LH and FSH work differently and can't be interchangable so if sperm production remains impaired tou should also use HMG wich inducec a FSH-like stimulation for Sertoli cells.
A complete cycle of spermogenesis takes around 2-3 months and recovery from aas suppression can take a lot longer so results won't be immediate. If after a long time nothing changed, check about other problems like a testicular injury, varicocele or genetic abnormalies.
