During my time at sixth form (junior and senior years of hs for the americans), it was the worst time of my life. I left my friends to persue my dreams in academia, instead of going to sixth form in my village, leading to me commuting minimum 4 hours into the city. The area I live in is full of supernatural stories from the fact that many past battles, dubious circumstances inolving black magic and anti christian sentiment in my area, the land being a bog and the city being built on a plague pit and was hit hard by the plague.
I went to the town overs festival and it was in the winter (sun sets and like 4pm) by myself as most my friends thought I thought I was better than them for going to the city. I got back to my village at like 9pm and there are no streetlights at the start of my village around the bus stop. Then some random man comes out of the shadows and walks behind me, 5 mins later he starts making gurgling sounds and I pick up the pace and so does he until im eventually running and we end up on the opposite ends of this pond in my village, I can see he has something in his hand and I assume it is a knife so I start shouting and eventaully he runs away.
At the time I was sleeping 2-4 hours a night for like a year atp and had suffered from auditary hallucinations but never visual. Even until know I dont know if it was real, a ghost or a hallucination.
