Women are obsessed with having fun, when provided the opportunity.
Women have fun by gaining attention from others and getting involved in drama. Women will put themselves in new environments just to do this (traveling).
Women's drive to have fun is higher than their drive to have sex with Chad (which only tends to happen once a month around their ovulatory phase).
To many modern women living in sexually mobile societies, unless you are fun, you probably don't serve much purpose.
If you have money but aren't fun, you're probably just going to fund her lifestyle of having fun elsewhere.
If you're hot but aren't fun (@Amnesia), you may be able to land some opportunistic sex with horny/desperate women every now and then, but they will leave you afterward to have fun.
If you think this obsession simmers down with age, you're wrong. Even my narcy, single mother, in her mid-50s, is still having significantly more fun than me with her similar-age/situation female friends.
The women who do settle down with their beta provider will still yearn to have fun again. They will cheat and/or divorce simply because the marriage is not fun enough.
