@africancel i have a question, antiblackness effects how people perceive beauty, and i was wondering how "objectivity" can be achieved when rating black people's faces, bypassing implicit racial biases against skin colour, lip/nose shapes & hair texture?

Honestly, I'm not sure that's possible, your racial/phenotypic characteristics are a significant part of your looks and how people perceive you, Hypothetically you can just go off of analyzing craniofacial development and things like symmetry and averageness but it wouldn't paint a full picture, since beauty is about perception and racial biases influence perception.

I Respect the Africans.
they along with Indians gave us quite a bit of Otherworldly knowledge Which helped humanity transcend.
Its a shame the majority of Africans nowadays have high invader antithesis admixture.
But they will always remember The Cameroon Ascendancy.

thanks, this makes sense. don't you think it would be beneficial to retire this specific type of euro-hegemonic rating criteria all together since it isn't really scientific? i think it would be beneficial for people to free themselves from the impositions of colorism/featurism/textureism and eurocentric standards in general, but i was wondering if the solutions to alleviating the aforementioned problems would be found in creating different charts and criteria for all the "races", or doing away with rating all together. i look at some of the language used on here in regards to rating black people and it's usually littered with racism, rendering analysis weaker and oftentimes impotent? at the end of the day i do understand the beauty is subjective. i guess it all comes down to setting a personal standard of beauty and building confidence in yourself, and not worrying about what other people think? sorry if i didn't articulate well, english is not my first language.

Yeah I guess you could hypothetically do that, but a major foundation of this site is attaining social or even economic benefits from looks, from my perspective it wouldn't make sense to classify beauty in terms of racial groupings, unless your sole purpose is achieving a certain aesthetic, the world is Eurocentric and Eurocentric features are more desired in general, so imo it wouldn't make sense to rate a person a 10 for their ethnicity but the socioeconomic benefits they attain from their looks are equivalent to a 6 of another ethnicity.

Yeah the site is racist but you just have to develop a thick skin, don't take everything personally, you should have your own individuals goals in what you think serves you best.

Your statement is pretty dense and from a different perspective than I usually hear, so I'm not sure how well I answered you cause it something that requires more thought.

It‘s not possible, and either way it would make ratings pointless as not applicable to IRL situations. At the same time you would need to have different standards for many different people. You can never ignore socio-cultural biases. All you could do is account for averageness in regards to pheno i.e high alar width does not failo an African as much as a white man because it’s common with that pheno, thin lips do not failo white men as much as they’d failo black men, etc…

Plus it’s hard to define what is truly Eurocentric and black people often make assumptions from not being familiar with their past cultures and being completely colonized mentally and culturally. "Colorism" has always existed. Obviously not in the same way it does now where you could say it’s Eurocentric influenced and mulatto light yellow skin is preferred, but many African men in pre colonial times preferred coppery skin over ebony black, generally. In many African languages the most attractive skin color for women is considered "red" (that exists natively among those people)
in the Tumbuka bantu African language people describe women's beauty saying: "Mwanakazi mswesi ndiye muwemi comene" which translates as "A woman who is red-skinned is most attractive".
The Bambara are not unmoved by the beauty of a woman's form; they can distinguish a well-formed body from a malformed one, a pretty woman from an ugly one, and they find a coppery skin more attractive than one of ebony black. (Henry, 1910, p. 217)

In skin colour they vary from black through chocolate brown to bronze, which the natives call "red" (bon-ze'e) and regard as the most attractive bodily hue. (Fortes, 1945, p. 7)

Light skin colour, referred to as "red", ranks high in the Hausa criteria of beauty; many variations of colour, from black to a very light reddish brown are seen. (Smith, 1965, p. 264)

In Ibo culture, however, these yellowish or reddish complexions are considered more beautiful than the darker, 'blacker,' complexions.

these trends are universal because it relates to dimorphism. Among almost all ethnicities women are generally lighter skinned than men.
This paper reviews data showing the preferences of many many people and shows an overwhelming cross-cultural pattern of "colorism"
