Ever wondered why traits that serve no biological advantage rather they are a disadvantage for a species yet are seemingly more attractive and preffered
take these 3 examples:
1) A peacock who has a long tail is a huge burden for it , it requires more cals he is not able to run faster and flying become more tough
2) tall height in humans serves no evolutionary advantage as opposed to what many believe it requires more calories , more stress on joints and heart yet no advantage for living
3) High-maned lions have higher body temperatures, struggle to cool down after sprinting, eat less food during hot months, and are forced to drink significantly more water just to stay alive.
