I was very impressed by this school: jumps, students of Viktor Alekseevich, high results. I was very excited and decided for myself at all costs to join them and play sports, namely high jumps. For this purpose I came to Viktor Alekseevich Lonsky, asked him to enroll me in the a high jumper's section, but the first year he refused me. As it turned out later, because my height was short. Anyway, jumps required a high growth, say, optimum growth. I did not know it. The first year he refused me, said: "You are still small, grow up, come back in a year". In the second year, to be safe, I told my mom and my mom had a conversation with him. After this conversation, I enrolled in the group of high jumpers Viktor Alekseevich Lonsky. I studied since that time. I must say that my results progressed quickly. I started at 1.20 cm and a year later I jumped 1.75 cm, that is, I completed the second adult level, although I was in the 7th grade. But my results stopped there. All my friends, rivals went ahead, began to jump by 10-15 cm higher than me, and my results stopped in this point. I came to Viktor Alekseevich and asked my coach: "Why my result doesn't grow? Others are progressing but I am not". He told me: "Rustam, because you are small. For high jump you need big height. If you will get taller you will be jumping. If not, your results will stop there." That day the first time I faced with the problem of growth. I had never thought before about whether I'm tall or small. Or medium. I had enough of the growth that I had. But on that day, I thought very deeply about the problem of growth and since that moment my author's method of increase height is being created. I could not imagine life without high jumps, without high results. I really fell in love high jumps, loved sports and I definitely had to grow taller. This became my goal. So began to develop my author's method of increase height, which allowed me for 3 years to stretch my body by 23 cm. You eventually achieved high results in athletics, in high jumps. Do you think everyone can achieve such results or you have a talent for it? The fact is that at that time I jumped by the “Straddle”. Now athletes jump in another way is “Fosbury Flop”. Using the "Straddle" method, any person could jump high. There were equal chances. With any growth, it was possible to jump high, but just to win the competition it was necessary to had the growth of 185 cm. This was growth of our famous Olympic champion, multiple world record holder Valery Brumel and we all tried to fit this standard. Nowadays, the new “Fosbury Flop” method requires a tall athlete. But there are exceptions when an small height athlete still can show high results. For example, an American man Jacobs jumped 232 cm with his height of 175 cm. We know this well. There are many other athletes who substitude the lack of growth with other qualities, for example, very high explosive qualities of muscles, very high-willed attitude. This also can compensate and help to achieve high results. How tall are your parents? Did it possible to rely on genetics in your case? Not. I must say that we are ethnic Kazan Tatars and mostly our people, our nation is short. And my parents are short, all my relatives are short. Apparently, I was also destined to stay short. My father's height is 164 cm, my mother's is 158 cm, apparently, I was also destined to be a short person. But like I said, that did not satisfy me, because I loved sports, high jumps and set a goal at all costs to achieve high results. Let's jump to your method. So you started to practice purposefully methods of natural increase height. You had basic athletics trainings and in addition your own increase height program. Yes. How much time did it take per day? It looks like a whole day training. Yes. I look at various information about growth, different methods and there is one crucial mistake for everyone, which does not allow to increase height to the full. The fact is that the concept of growth is a genetic concept. What God gave you, you can't get away from it. Nobody ever broke genetics and it is necessary to accept. But genetic height is not just a certain number. Let's say that you have to grow by 160 cm or 180, or you have to genetically grow by 190 cm. No, this is not a specific number! Genetics is a kind of corridor, a range, according to which, each person to got a genetically height from, let's say, 160 or 165 to 190 or 195. How will you go through your genetic corridor — stop at the beginning and your height will be 160–165 or you will go half the distance, for example, 180 cm or go through your genetic corridor completely to 190–195 — it already depends on the person. This is my system for increase height — to force a person go through his genetic corridor and genetic potential completely. I do not break legs. I do not build bone. This is not my system. I have a purely pedagogical approach to go through the genetic corridor as much as possible. This is the quintessence of my height system. And the second. Many experts who deal with the problem of increase height, mistakenly believe that some magical set of exercise will help a person to increase height. This is not true. This is a profound mistake. You can grow taller only if you are practicing for 24 hours a day. I repeat, for 24 hours a day. To do this, you need to use all kinds of stimulation, starting from psychological, physical stimuli — stretching, jumping, swimming, hanging, etc — and all of this supported by rational, proper nutrition. If the body will not receive materials for construction, it will not grow, no matter how hard you work and what magic exercises you do. People always love to play, it brings them big pleasure. Why did I say that you need to play 24 hours a day? Because it is necessary to do not only sets of exercise. Sets will take an hour or an hour and a half. Made and forgot. In your school of growth, which you founded in Zhytomyr, if I am not mistaken in the 1980s, many people repeated your results using your program. No, you can write to yourself. It will be better this way. My coach just told me to do it. I believe you can write to yourself, because such a person may not be nearby, but there is the goal, a problem. You mentioned your book "Growth: genetics or aspiration", which described your perception of a increase height process, your approach, nutrition advice, recovery and much more. I already read some parts of this book recently and I like them. I especially liked your grow's story by 23 cm. Before that, I read it in Ukrainian newspaper on the Internet. It was in shortened form there. Now I read it completely and it inspired me, really inspired. Can you tell now more about the book? And I also want to ask you a question: can a person without a special physical condition, without a good physical shape, to achieve success, using your program, taking into consideration there is desire of person, a mood to win and an opportunities to growth? Yes, definitely, anyone can grow. I would say, if a person does not play sports, it will grow faster. Because muscles are elastic, soft, they weak. It's like clay, it's very easy to sculpt here. It is good if a sport, which an athlete, who want to grow taller, practice, will not prevent to bone growth. For example, basketball, volleyball, jumps, swimming, other sports. In this case, it is also possible to work well, because they have the elastic and soft muscles. But gymnasts, for example, acrobats are very hard to work with. They have, as I said, muscles of a different quality which so strong and knotty, that it compress the bones like a hoop, and will not allow the bones to grow. It is harder to work here. With the guys who have not started to play sports or have not strong muscles yet, I think and practice has shown that my program is very effective. They are like a clay. Their muscles are malleable and it is possible to sculpt any height from them. Could you tell more about your book what will readers find useful for themselves there? Readers will find everything, in my opinion, in this book. in my opinion, I said that my book and method based on 3 important things. The first is psychological suggestion, autosuggestion. That is the first and most important thing. In this book I give techniques how to learn suggestion, autosuggestion, how to influence to the mind. All exercises, no matter how heavy they are, must be perform with joy and happiness. Should not forget it. Even if you are sitting on twine, your muscles hurt, ligaments stretched, you are nearly shouting, you have to overcome yourself and at this time to imagine something very nice. Children can imagine as if they eat chocolate or ice cream at this time. It need to feel joy and happiness. For those who are older, performing the most difficult exercises, you need to imagine that you are kissing your girlfriend. The key is these exercises have not to bring pain and heaviness, but joy. All exercises needs to cross through the mind. You have not to just go the stretch, do exercise ... No. You have to imagine in your mind how your body lengthens. The first is psychological suggestion. The second is physical exercise. Very important. It need to stretch the muscles, the bone's growth should not stop. Muscles should be soft, elastic, explosive. To do this, there are exercises for flexibility, all kinds of stretching. Besides, geneticists proved, that the jumping exercises of a pulsating, dynamic nature, any jumps included, to stimulate the activation bone's growth plates and the bones start to grow quickly because of it. Therefore, there is a lot of such exercises in this system like jumping, stretching exercises. If you perform these exercises to feel the joy, happiness, imagining that you are growing, all of this supported by an abundance of somatotropin. Somatotropin should release into the body like saliva. If you crush a lemon in your mouth, you will increase salivation. It doesn't matter what you like is. It begin to release by reflex. The same happen with somatotropin, whether you like it or not, but it will release more. This is exactly what the body needs. Need stimuli. You tuned in grow, constantly think about it and all of this supported by stimuli. You are not just doing a set of exercise for an hour and forget about it. No. You need always remember this and 24 hours a day to play of a growing person. It's very important. All of it with joy and happiness. While swimming, you should see and feel consciously how your body lengthening is. I used to love one national Tatar exercise. When I created the system, I was interested, how people grow up in different cultures. Each nation has its own culture and traditions, including the Tatar nation. I asked my grandmother: "Grandma, how do our Tatars grow taller?". She said: “It need to find a hill, lie down on it, stretch hard and roll down. It is like roll out some dough and it become longer”. When I rolled down, every time felt that I became taller by 5-6 cm. But when you are rolling down, you need to mentally imagine (all through the mind) that it is like a dough, the full-body is stretching. There are centrifugal forces act on the body. The centrifugal forces stretch out the body as a dough. I included a lot of similar exercises in my method and described in the book. It were very effective. I could not imagine life without high jumps, without high results. I really fell in love high jumps, loved sports and I definitely had to grow taller. This became my goal. So began to develop my author's method of increase height, which allowed me for 3 years to stretch my body by 23 cm. You eventually achieved high results in athletics, in high jumps. This also can compensate and help to achieve high results. How tall are your parents? Did it possible to rely on genetics in your case? Not. I must say that we are ethnic Kazan Tatars and mostly our people, our nation is short. And my parents are short, all my relatives are short. Apparently, I was also destined to stay short. The fact is that the concept of growth is a genetic concept. What God gave you, you can't get away from it. Nobody ever broke genetics and it is necessary to accept. But genetic height is not just a certain number. Let's say that you have to grow by 160 cm or 180, or you have to genetically grow by 190 cm. No, this is not a specific number! Genetics is a kind of corridor, a range, according to which, each person to got a genetically height from, let's say, 160 or 165 to 190 or 195. How will you go through your genetic corridor — stop at the beginning and your height will be 160–165 or you will go half the distance, for example, 180 cm or go through your genetic corridor completely to 190–195 — it already depends on the person.
