The human urge to stand out and be different is so fucking irritating

Genuinely one of the most irritating things is seeing someone trying to be weird or quirky on purpose just to stand out.

I wonder why basically every single person on earth does this so bad, probably something to do with ancient breeding to stand out or something jfl.

Some examples of this are:

- People with exotic pets (especially people who bring them in public)

- People who claim to have any sort of undiagnosed ADHD or austism

- People who play their instruments in public

- Anyone who is a hipster

- Anyone who claim to be outcasts

- Anyone who makes having an unusual hobby their whole personality

- Anyone who tries to be gothic or emo

There are many more but these are the main ones that make me the most mad.

Because life is all about yourself. It’s your story. It helps to have some justification for yourself as the main character
and everyone feels they are the main character even if they wont admit it

I was at the store the other day and some fat lady was bagging up groceries and she was yammering on about how she has ADHD, it's very fucking annoying. I guarantee she wasn't even diagnosed just wanted to stand out.
