The importance of a projected maxilla (srs/no dumbass replies/khhv forever?)

You can have a good lower third, a great frame and a decent height but girls still wont choose you for one reason...

You can have everything else not bad but a recessed maxilla kills it all. Once someone sees it then it's game over. I hate going in public knowing that people see my face and think to themselves that they're lucky to not look like me!

It throws off your whole face, your eyes appear weak and unsupported from below, your lips become thin when you smile and the worst thing nasiolabal folds are the death of you...

Those are the good pictures of me so you can imagine what I look like in motion, it is horrible. The worst part is realising that the only way to fix it is through surgery. I can only pray that as I go through puberty it improves but it is only cope. No amount of habits will fix that and it's miserable knowing it!

If only I knew when I was younger that my habits would affect me significantly, I wish I could go back and fix it all!

Look at the lack of support under my eyes it is terrible, this is what I look like and I have to live with. Even that is a picture which i consider good. My mid face is set back and it's too noticeable I HATE IT!

I take a picture thinking that I don't look bad (this is a good picture of me) only to see the non existent infra orbital support, it pains me knowing that this is what causes girls to grimace at me.



NO ONE understands what I feel when I see my reflection on my laptop and see my baggy eyes and nasiolabal folds and my unsupported lips... Khhv at 16 and still going, idk how much longer this will last!

not even close, almost every measurement besides chin height in your face is bad, if anything your hair and skin color are the only good features you have.

Apart from my jaw, the majority of these problems root from a narrow recessed maxilla. Fwhr as an example, my jaw developed very poorly growing up and it's only recently masculinising, the gonial angle and many other angles are unideal but the main issues within my face stem from the mid face. I didn't want to share terrible pictures of myself as they can be used against me

I don't see how a better maxilla would fix your terrible ipd.

'habits' didn't cause this by the way stop the cope, you would've looked largely the same regardless.

A wider maxilla would increase eye distance overall as cases of mse expand the orbits by around 1.5mm (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6196147/#:~:text=Conclusions * In the horizontal plane, the,temporal bone during the miniscrew-supported maxillary expansion.) ← source. Obviously these cases are worse than mine however it shows that a wider maxilla would have an effect on the distance between my eyes.

I also have my own case where I had subtle expansion by my ortho when I had my braces.
(Bwython is a very mainstream and popular example of this)

Yes they are unideally close together but I can't get that fixed
