DNA is not entirely responsible for the inherited traits that you see from parent to offspring. All DNA does is code for proteins, and between individuals the genome is practically the same (less than 1% different in terms of nucleotide sequences) However, humans of course vary widely in appearance and behavior, and in seemingly an inherited way. The mechanism of that inheritance is due to much more than your genome. This is what Ray Peat was essentially saying in his article on evolution.
