I have decided to start a series,, this will be part 2,
My reasoning behind this is to hopefully solve the shit posting/porn problem that is plaguing this forum, and hopefully give people’s chance to learn about some cool topics.
So let’s get started.
The Incan empire
The Incan Empire was the largest empire in pre columbian america, along the Andes mountains.
It sustained millions of people through communal labor, terraced farming, and thousands of miles of paved mountain roads.
They were exceptionally advanced engineers who mastered earthquake resistant, mortarless stonemasonry to construct iconic mountain sanctuaries like Machu Picchu.
Unfortunately, the empire collapsed in the 1530s when Spanish conquistador francisco pizarro exploited a civil war, and bringing disease to capture Emperor atahualpa and claim the land.

Here is another fun fact, despite managing an empire of over 10million people, the Incas NEVER developed a written alphabet, relying instead on quipus a sophisticated accounting system of knotted color coded strings, to track tax records, census data, inventory, etc.

The 'discovery' of Peru's Machu Picchu - Survival International
July 2011 marked the 100 year 'discovery' of Machu Picchu. But the term 'discovery' is misleading. The Inca site was there long before Hiram Bingham arrived, just as South America had been occupied by Indigenous tribes for thousands of years before Christopher Columbus landed on its shores.
