Well if they have close to a standard deviation above average then it'd be reasonable to suppose that trend would allow them to have more geniuses. Of course there could be some genetic factor that limits diversity but increases IQ causing them to cluster only like 1 SD above but I doubt it

Why not? If you speaking about an entire group then you must equalize the entire group by averaging it's members. Sure Einstein had 160+ IQ but...

It doesn't matter at which IQ you start, all you need to do is push harder by thinking deeper. A man who devotes his time to doing problems that are extremely challenging for him and are at the limits of his ability of what he can deal with is pushing to the next level and this will reflect in his genes if this pattern of behaviour is successively repeated by members of his following generations. That is how humans evolved to be smarter. That is how you create Scientists and Engineers who will conquer the Universe.

Well it can only be verified by intelligent people studying his scientific works and scrutinizing them.

How "complex" and "hard" are his theories and equations.

If I can manage to muster them at 138 IQ then he either did not develop theories to his full potential of intelligence or he was doing something relatively what he found to be easy.

For example A levels Physics and Mathematics is too easy for someone like me with 138 IQ whereas University is somewhat harder and requires more in-depth thought and analysis.
