The job market sucks right now

No need for me to cope about this as I’m already employed, been with the same company for almost 5 years and making good money.

But looking into other options, at other areas I’d be interested in moving to, just shit. Either no job postings for what I do at all, or it’s bottom of the barrel work and the pay is shockingly low. By far the worst job market I’ve seen and it keeps getting worse.

For guys on here who are just starting out, don’t let anyone gaslight you or tell you that your qualifications are the problem. There just aren’t the openings there was 5-10 years ago.

Not gonna say the company but it's in the timber industry.

Also here's another thing, before 2021ish my company used to hire people who were brand new to the industry and train them but now they only hire people with prior experience. Exactly what I mean about there not being openings anymore.

So what's the solution? Get a PhD just to not get filtered by the bots in the recruitment process? Become self-employed in areas where it's needed all the time? Neetmaxx?
