for young people sometimes theyre not larping they re just truly ignorant
for bidelt they use a measuring tape and like stick it from one delt to the other so its not a good measurement
for height they see someone who claims 5'11 but is 5'9 and thinks to themselves wow im at least 2 inch taller than this guy and if I was standing straight next to him I would be 3 inches taller so im surely 6'2 while theyre 5'11 at most

I lived in canada before and they use cm and its even worse. 180cm is 5'11 and most guys 173 to 176 (5'8,5'9) say theyre 5'11.
