Don't get too excited, this isn't a 400 page thread with a trillion Wikipedia sources and groundbreaking studies.

Simply put, I will explain the link between autism and skin health:

Autism ⇾ Leaky Gut ⇾ Poor Microbiome ⇾ Bad Skin

A lot of neurodivergents have something called 'leaky gut'. Here's the condition explained by Google AI: "In simple terms, "leaky gut" is the term for increased intestinal permeability, where the lining of the small intestine has gaps that allow substances like undigested food particles, bacteria, and toxins to "leak" into the bloodstream."

Sound pretty gross. It is.

Autism is often linked to gut inflammation and increased intestinal permeability (leaky gut), which weakens the gut barrier. This disruption can cause an imbalance in the gut microbiome.

Microbiome is important because it affects your skin's health. It contributes to skin barrier function by moisturizing and producing beneficial compounds.

So a lot of you will experience fucked up skin if you don't fix your Microbiome (which is basically biologically hardwired to FUCK YOU in the ass!)

What should you do? Consume a lot of fiber and other good nutrients.

Here's some foods that help (according to ChatGPT cuz I'm lazy)

TL;DR

Autism can → influence gut integrity → which changes microbiome balance → which affects your skin health.
