When u take pics you might think it looks good at first but as you keep looking at them the reality will hit

so your theory is that this 'decay' in perception only happens to ugly people? how does that make sense? what's the cutoff?
Yes ugly and average looking people that may fall for the illusion that they look good in their pics at first but as you keep looking at the pics your brain will start to pick up on your flaws

Same with the mirror, although it’s harder. once u make the breakthrough and see your true face without ur brain deluding you it’s suifuel

why would this only happen to ugly and average people? even chads have flaws, so theoretically, their perception should go down too, after they're able to recognize said flaws. Only difference would be that they would go from maybe thinking they're perfect to thinking they're just very good looking, as opposed to going from decent to below-average, for most people.

Anyway, this theory makes no sense to me, in a psychological sense. In bodybuilding, it's often the people with the most insane physiques that suffer from body dysmorphia. I would imagine a lot of models could start to second guess their looks after seeing their face all the time, as well.

Imo, this phenomenon either happens to most people, or to a random distribution of people, regardless of looks level.

Because I'm talking about perceiving actual and real flaws and eventually realizing the reality of things, not body dysmorphia and psychological effects from tricks that your brain plays on you. When you take pictures you're way more likely to think they look good within the first few hours or even days of looking at them because you havent exposed your brain to them for that long, if you keep looking eventually that effect will wear off and you see reality.

Firstly, you still haven't explained how this only affects ugly and 'average' looking people.

Secondly, I think your initial reaction to a pic can be way more varied. You can look at it and think it's really bad, then change your mind and realize it isn't as horrible as you thought, then come down a bit again, until it stabilizes. The graph would probably look something like this (blue line):

1693957763473

or the reverse (starting off higher, then going down, then going up again and reaching a plateau)

But the thing is: this can happen to pretty much anyone.

Where is the interview?

Probably depends on your self esteem
Narcies will perceive themselves better and insecure will perceive themselves worse

Also probably depends on which features the angle highlights and which features you consider most important. So for example if you’re obsessed with lower third and you take a pic where your lower third looks mogger as shit, you’ll probably never perceive that pic as ugly no matter what the rest of the pic looks like.

No need to worry about this stuff, remove it from your mind entirely, your rating is your experience with women and absolutely nothing else
