The mainstream natty potential formulas are actually completely inaccurate.

I'm talking about the ones by Casey Butt and Lyle McDonald. Both men based their formula on elite champion bodybuilders like Reg Park with very favorable genes and a very questionable natural statuses.

According to Casey Butt and naive dreamers reg park was all natty but was giving known steroid users a run for their money.

Draper reg park

Typically they talk about gaining 24 pounds of muscle in a year. Speaking from experience, in my honest opinion that is way too optimistic. That in 2 years is more realistic for a guy lacking Sergio Oliva caliber genes.

Is there another formula for determining natty potential that you would recommend instead that's more realistic?

20 ibs of muscle in 2.5 years is a more realistic goal.
