oh my fucking god i have heard this too many times. THERE IS NO MEANING AND PURPOSE IN LIFE, reproduction is a primal istinct for survival coming from our ancestors. Then we became more self conscious/self aware, and we started asking ourselves what is the meaning of life, and thats human nature, seeking purpose in life, so we TRIED and STILL TRY to give life meaning through religion, reproduction, sex. I'd argue its just a basic truth and not a point of view.
