People keep arguing whether the dating market is 'ruined' or if guys are just lazy but the truth is way simpler and brutal:
Social media and dating apps permanently removed geographic and status limits for women just as everyone knows.
An average girl with a smartphone now has access to the top tier of guys in a 50km radius, which could be as good as as bad for us. But why would any woman settle for an average fucking 5/10 guy when she has infinite validation and high-tier options sitting in her DMs 24/7?
Thinking 'just hit the gym and be nice' is enough in 2026 is pure cope sold by self-help grifters. If you aren't actively maxxing out your looks, status, and money to hit the top percentile, you literally don't fucking exist to women. Without aggressive maxing you're invisible (Should be knowledge by now)
Here is my actual hot take that nobody talks about:
It’s not just about hypergamy or high-tier guys pump-and-dumping but rather it’s an Attention Economy Paradox.
Dating apps didn't just give women options they turned modern dating into a high-dopamine casino for them. Think about it this way: A girl's brain receives so much passive, low-effort micro-validation daily from anyone I mean likes, story replies, DMs that her baseline sensitivity for romantic payoff is completely fried
Real-life dating with a normal guy requires emotional investment, patience, and dealing with real human flaws and none of which can compete with the friction-free, instantaneous dopamine hit of an app feed like tinder e.g.
Average guys aren't losing to 'better men' but rather they are losing to the phone screen itself. Women aren't replacing average guys with top-tier partners —> they are replacing traditional relationships with endless digital validation loops because real life feels too boring by comparison
Is there actually any realistic path left for an average guy to compete against instant digital dopamine or is the only option left to completely drop out of the game?
