This may sound stupid, but as I grew up watching animated films (i.e., Disney or anime), real life started to look gross to me. I can't explain it, not really. But every time I saw a human face in real life, I would always compare it to an animated face and was always disappointed, I would find it less full of life than the animated version. Even the lighting in real life and how everyone and everything looked under it (especially fluorescent lighting) depressed me.
On top of that, I had a brutal existential crises when I was
about evolution (I was a denier for quite some time due to religious beliefs), how we are no different from animals. I can't believe that people don't notice the fact that animals HAVE EYES which are made out of the same material as OUR EYES, seriously, no one ever connects the dots?
I still feel this way to this day, animation has fucked up my perception of reality so much.
