In the music industry its mostly about looks and appeal and being of above avg talent when it comes to the women. It just so happens this 8-10 year run the top female artist have in any genre is closely related to said females peak and decline in beauty. So you will have a top women or a few top women get replaced by the younger generation of owmen. Unlike in movie and tv industry were a women can last much longer- then 8-10 years, because of the roles of being a milf/couguar or being a attractive older women.
In 1998 it britney spears,jessica simpson, christina agurelia.
Then in 2008 they ended up getting replaced by taylor swift and carrie underwood, and
The last one standing was taylor swift as she got into the industry very young and was signed at the age of 15. didnt make it big till she was 18 years old with her hit our song. She has kept her looks and maintained them as much as she can and her singing talent has gotten better over the years, as you remember back in 2009 there was thing where she was accused of lip singing and that she couldn't sing. Taylor still looks good but she is being replaced and being taken over by dua lipa.
Dua lipa has taken over , she to started young and was signed at 15 and didn't make it big till she was 20. Young and beauty are things that cannot be priced on as it fades and is valuable like time.
