The nature of man is conflict. He comes into the world surrounded by a nature so indifferent to life that man himself interprets it as evil. He is at perpetual war with himself and with what is against him, with what goes against his ethical and moral principles. And he is afraid of dying, as a living being, but he is not afraid of sacrifice, since dying for one's ideals is the only way to be able to exclaim to that indifferent nature "I lived!" "I believed!".
