on this forum and on social media in general i constantly see people acting like finding love is the only thing that's worth doing in this world.
i see people literally crying because they dont have a bf/gf and it really makes me wonder why some people care this much but thats not even my point.
my point is that when a person that never really cared that much about dating sees these exaggerations they begin thinking that maybe they should also urgently be looking for love.
of course love is a great thing that everybody wants to experience at some point but theres no reason we should feel like we need to experience it asap otherwise our lives are meaningless.
another example similar to this one is the surge of young teenagers who were somehow able to make tens of thousands of dollars online and post about it on social media. this type of content makes other teens think that if they don't reach that level of wealth in a few years then theyre behind or some shit.
another thing this does is it makes people develop fomo (fear of missing out), they see all these people their age in relationships and that causes them to have that fear even though if they never saw those people in those relationships they may have never cared.
a lot of what we feel, believe, want, think, etc, is caused by social media influencing us to be that way.
