If I have to explain it is because we were first a social democratic welfare state, but since the population started to grow larger we ran out of resources. We are a liberal welfare state but with the taxes of a social democratic welfare state. So now most late Gen Xers and onwards are so pissed because they saw the decline of social cohesion in the country.
