Phenotypically they look far closer to north Chinese and Mongolians than they are to South Koreans (South Koreans have more Jomon ancestry), North Korean faces are more angular rather than round and they have higher set cheekbones compared to South Koreans aswell.

I'm not an anthropologist though and these are simple observations, I would like to see studies of North Korean ancestry. I'm curious because it's plausible they're implementing eugenic policies.
