People underestimate how the nose frames the FACE. This guy has a leptorrhine nasal index, perfect contouring of the nasal cartilage, 0 nasal asymmetries (no signs of dorsal hump or deviated septum), perfect nose-mouth ratio, ideal nasal bridge width (gives him harmonic IPD) and no deformities of the nostrils.

Not even a rhino could replicate such a perfect nose without looking uncanny. If this guy had a slightly weaker jaw or more UEE, he'd still at least be a chadlite. Give him a bulbous nose tip and he goes from chad to normie, even if you were to leave everything else unchanged.

I'm not saying it's the most significant attribute in male aesthetics, but studies have found that the nose is one of the first traits we look at to distinguish humans from one another.

I think it comes back to the congruency of features as well. A male with hypermasculine facial morphology could get away with a slightly wider nasal base or some asymmetries of the nose. I have seen some actors be described as "unconventionally attractive" with disproportionately sized noses (think Adrian Brody or Adam Sandler).

For a prettyboy (where emphasis is put on youthful/neotenous features), having a button nose is a prerequisite. A prettyboy with a big nose is an oxymoron.

If you're trying to be a prettyboy... no, it's not alright. It's all about facial congruency. As long as your nose doesn't deviate from the phenotypic average and ruin your ratios you should be fine. If you have a masculine FACE, then a Greek nose is more likely to compliment your other features.

tbh i think nose is acceptable as long as it isn't wider than your mouth width that's when its a big problem

Yh you ideally want a nose-mouth width ratio of 1.5+. More often than not, narrow mouth is the culprit. I have a nose-mouth width ratio of around 1.3. In my case though, I have a wider than average nasal base and an average mouth width. Not ideal and one of the reasons people say my FACE looks "off".

Don't you think ideal nose is something that fits the phenotype? Ethnic with a small Nordic nose looks uncanny.

Yh I mentioned above facial congruency relative to dimorphism and phenotype is important to consider. I still think in the majority of situations having a smaller nose mogs having a bigger nose.

Nick Bateman. Masculine craniofacial structure but having a button nose compliments his other features.

Problem with most ethnic noses is lack of nasal bridge height making the nose look short and primitive.

imo classic Greek nose mogs and has the broadest appeal

Quality user, quality thread.

Bookmarked.

Nosepill is soo underrated on this forum, so is the lip pill, both hugely important for facial harmony.

Regardless of facial morphology and "niche", what's the ideal male nose. Maesthetic?

Guy in the OP is ideal and it is more on the feminine side. A maesthetic nose I would say has good ratios, not bulbous and moderate projection on the sagittal plane.

Overrated IMO. Look on r/PlasticSurgery and see how many women (and a few men) are trying to get nosejobs when they clearly have bigger, bone-based issues. A "big nose" often just looks big because of an underdeveloped jaw or cheekbones.
