We have elections in the Netherlands in 1 week, and I just can't really care about any of it tbh.

The older I become, the more I realize it is a complete farce. Democracy is an entirely worthless system.
Every popular political party operates in a very narrow set of limits. So even if you pick 'one of the extremes', the differences are absolutely minimal.

What is considered 'an extreme right-wing fascist political party' in the Netherlands, unironically is not much different than what is considered an 'extreme left-wing socialist political party' here. The difference is a few % of tax here, a few billion going here instead of there, and that's it.

And what frustrates me even more is that I am not part of the ruling elite. The people who truly decide what happens in this country.
Instead I am one of the average citizens, the ignorant subhumans, which aren't supposed to realize that democracy is a complete joke.

Fucking over.

Less government interference in people's lives and the overall economy.

Whether you vote extreme left-wing or extreme right-wing. Both parties want less privacy, more government control on who gets to live/work here and where, higher taxes, more regulations, more police control, more punishment for 'crimes', and so on.

It's getting worse every year, and it doesn't seem to matter who you even vote for.

Here’s a question, if a party attempts to take away the rights of a gay couple to have a marriage license, is that less privacy or more privacy?

Which is why personal privacy is of the highest possible importance.

It allows you to lead your own life, the way you want it, as an individual,
despite dictators, governments, rulers, fascists, warlords, and so on, trying to impose their will on you.

It is such an extremely underappreciated topic in modern politics. In fact, it is not even discussed at all right now in the Netherlands during all the debates we have ahead of the elections.

How so? Privacy is two fags banging each other in their home. A marriage license is them not being private at all and going directly to the government to get involved in marriage.

people get married to get tax benefits and other legal benefits. That shouldn't be a thing in the first place.

A gay couple wanting tax benefits, aka, to not get fucking screwed over by the government, who is surprised?.

Taxation=Theft.
Niggas really be giving away 50% of their income in 2023, like our government is still providing us with protection from raiding bands of Mongolian horsemen about to put our houses on fire and rape our wives and children.

No, they don't provide us with jack shit.

Voting in a country like the Netherlands, with millions casting their votes, makes your individual choice almost meaningless. In the vast sea of ballots, one vote is a mere drop, unlikely to sway any significant decision. This isn't pessimism; it's statistical reality. When outcomes are decided by millions, the singular voice loses its power

Escalating to a broader perspective, consider individual actions' impact on suffering. Even extreme actions like taking a life seem insignificant when you realize that around 166,324 people die every day worldwide. Your actions, no matter how drastic, are just a blip against the backdrop of constant, large-scale global events.

Expanding further, even if you were someone like Oppenheimer, whose work led to thousands of deaths, this pales in comparison to the scale of life and death over Earth's history and beyond. Estimates suggest that quintillions of organisms have lived and died on Earth alone. And considering the Fermi Paradox, which implies the likelihood of extraterrestrial life, the scale of existence and death across the universe, possibly infinite, makes any single contribution to it, no matter how large, utterly trivial.

Finally, at the most expansive level, suffering, like death, is just an aspect of existence, devoid of inherent moral weight. It's a component of life, as neutral as the elements in the periodic table. The universe is indifferent. It harbors no desires, no preferences. We exist within it, our actions and experiences merely part of an immeasurable, ongoing cycle of existence, without universal significance

You're bringing religion into this, but that's a diversion from the core argument. We're discussing the impact of individual actions in a tangible, measurable universe, not a realm governed by religious beliefs or spiritual consequences. The concept of a divine judgment or an afterlife is irrelevant to this discussion. We're dealing with facts, figures, and philosophical reasoning about our existential insignificance, not faith-based assertions. Your beliefs don't change the reality of the universe's indifference to our actions or the statistical insignificance of individual contributions in the grand cosmic scheme.

Your post just screams like a massive argument in favor of individualism to me. And there's nothing wrong with that.

What DO we have the most influence on?
Our own state of mind, our own well-being, our own life quality. And to a lesser extent; the life quality of those directly around us.

Why should we focus our attention on something we have little to no influence on? Seems like a waste of effort and energy.

A government should stay out of my life as much as possible. Interfere as little as possible. It should be a force in the background that merely keeps a check on society and steers it into a certain direction, broadly.

It's fucking retarded what is going on there. But I guess that's the reality of most wars.

Wars make little sense unless 1 party has an extreme advantage. Else it just becomes a worthless waste of life and energy with no gain to either party.

The fact there isn't a stale-mate yet, a cease-fire, shows how fucked up the world really is. And how little life really matters to the people at the top.

Low iq ngl. Different political parties absolutely have a great impact on the country. Also while the common individual may not effect politics that much studies have shown that interest groups do even more so then rich people so get involved in one of those if you want real power.

This depends on your perspective. You can tell me all you want that I’m just some carbon in a vast galaxy of it, but that doesn’t make my current day to day life any less real to me. Ultimatey meaning is just the value you place on something, I care about my life so it has meaning to me.

My only focus right now is looksmaxxing, social life maxxing, and making money so that I can do those things and enjoy life. Maybe if by some miracle I manage to become a somewhat high-status guy I might try to do something, but that's more of a fantasy than a realistic expectation.

I believe fag marriage isn’t even marriage. Marriage is a union between a man and woman, and usually involves children. Marriage licenses for faggots pushes that notion of fag marriage onto the rest of society. It also allows faggots to adopt children so they can later rape them.
