1. Albania - you all know the reason


2. Bosnia and Herzegovina - same as 1.


3. Greece - most of Greece (excluding the good islands) legit looks like Zimbabwe.. filthy with trash everywhere and just an overall ghetto feel + refugees


4. Kosovo - same as 1.


5. Montenegro - almost made it to the good list but Montenegrins are just a bunch of mountain villagers


6. North Macedonia - everything basically


7. Romania - gypsy, ghetto, non-European feel outside of Bucharest


8. Serbia - backwards, annoying people, too stereotypically Balkan basically. Shit landscapes and unkempt towns and villages

I've visited Romania a few times. I actually visited it a week ago (I live on the Romanian border). Romania just looks ghetto. It's supposedly richer than Bulgaria yet it looks so much worse. Slum villages, soviet towns, and a huge gypsy population (biggest on the Balkans). Also Romanians have less of a European mentality.

I'm unbiased. Bulgaria is cleaner, better looking, and more European. Google Brits in Bulgaria and you'll read about the trend of UKfags moving here. Not only them, all of WE basically. They move here and not to the rest of the Balkan countries for a plethora of reasons

Solid list tbh. Croatia as well as Slovenia are good and as long as you stick to the big cities in Bulgaria you'll be fine:
good public transport
new buildings
people are more used to foreigners + speak more English
Google/Apple Pay work mostly everywhere.

The big cities are stuck in limbo between truly becoming jewropian and remaining how they were once before(even culturally they are different). But they do have more comforts and luxuries for a westerner objectively. The villages do mog. You can live in the mountains with clean air and preserved nature without being far from civilization, but the people are more closed off.

there arent many of those clowns here; the prices are mostly high because of the greed and laziness of everyone working on the coast. they know it's a popular tourist destination so they're trying to rip tourists off without any shame. already resulted in less visits this year

Decently developed, clean, well-kept, nice landscapes, more European mentality than Balkan. It's not perfect but it's definitely way better than most of the Balkans.
