Governments have tried it but attempting to subsidies people having kids doesn't work, birthrates continue to fall at rapid rates, population pyramids start looking like ice cream cones instead of pyramids, typical milestones like owning a house and retiring become luxuries. So what alternative options are there to prevent literal self extinction; hardcore taxing unmarried people and individuals who don't have offspring and/or taxation layoffs for those who do have kids.

Are you willing to give +15% of your annual salary on top of income tax, payroll tax, state tax, property tax inkwell?

They will still accept. Because govt is not really ever gonna pay them to have children. Its matter of cost. Cost can be 600 but govt give 200. Still costing u 400. Only works if govt make it profitable for you

Could be a culture thing. Having children is seen as bad and stressful due to anti-natalism/childfree propaganda, while in my country it is the opposite. Most people here get married earlier, and have children.
