In order to find out how you truly look like irl you need to follow these steps:
1) Record a video of yourself in normal lighting. Just move a bit around, maybe even talk but overall try to act as naturally as possible
2) Do not watch the video before you do the next step!!!
This is really important.
3) Before you watch the video you are going to mirror it.
On iPhone this can be done by editing the picture/video and pressing the button I marked red on this picture:
After you pressed on the button your video or in this example the picture of Zach Cox will be mirrored:
4) Now you can watch the video and know how you look like irl. There isn’t a more accurate way.
Now some might say „But others don’t see your mirrored version, so how can this be the most accurate way?“
Yes others don’t see your mirrored version - they see your normal version. The point is tho that they are as used to your normal version the same way you are used to your mirrored version.
You will find your face better looking mirrored than non mirrored because your brain is used to seeing the mirrored version which means that asymmetries get less visible to you.
Others are more used to your non mirrored version which means that when they see your non mirrored version they also can barely notice your asymmetries.
And this is why your mirrored version is the actual way to see how others see you.
This also works in reverse. If you see the mirrored version of a person who you normally just see non mirrored their face will look slightly odd to you and you can easier spot their asymmetries.
Example for this:
Brad Pitts non mirrored face, which you are used to
The mirrored picture should look more asymmetrical and unfamiliar to you. And that even despite the fact that Brad Pitts face is really symmetrical
