The Orthodontist I Visit Will Move My Maxilla Back to Fix My Overbite Problem

Hello everyone, I have an obvious "overbite problem" and I am 13 years old. The orthodontist I went to said that he will give me the "forsus appliance" next month and explained how it works. He said that it will move the upper jaw (maxilla) back and the lower jaw (mandible) forward. However, this did not sit well with me, of course doctors know best but as far as I know it is a good thing for the maxilla to be forward, what I mean is that the upper jaw is forward due to the forward growth of the face. If anyone knows that the situation is different, could you please enlighten me? Thank you very much in advance, I wish you a good forum <3.

Ask him if instead he could just move to the lower jawforward bc most overbites have a recesssed jaw dnt let him give you a recessed maxilla

just ask and say if he makes you recessed that you not gonna comply and not let him do it
