Perfect Shave is Law as we all know so lemme teach you.

Prep:
Put a bowl of water in the the freezer for a face ice bath about an 1-1.5 hours before shaving.
I suggest taking 200mg-400mg of ibuprofen to reduce inflammation for shaving 30 min before.
Right after taking this try trimming all the hair you have with a skin tight foil shaver. Using this right before might seem redundant but getting rid of the excess hair will prevent snagging tremendously. I personally use the arc5 but whatever works for you is good. Nothing will compare to a real shave so using this will get you as close as possible
Then take a hot shower.
In the shower you should use a physical exfoliation. This takes your shaving game to the next level. Either a silicon bristle face scrub or cream like Paula’s choice unscrub or both. This opens your pores really good.
Make sure not to scrub hard as it will likely irritate your skin.
Then THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP knowing how to shave. I find this map very helpful to reduce cutting of skin while making it easy to shave your hair. Just look in the mirror and shave accordingly.
Switching to a proper technique is a night and day difference. Before using this I tend to snag hair and get major bumps on my face. But after it’s wayyy less.
The first step to the perfect shave is what to use.
Switch to a safety razor as they cause less irritation and can get a cleaner shave while also being cheaper long term and less likely to cause ingrown hairs.
Just keep using to get less cuts as they are more prone to cutting if you are unskilled. It’s a skill issue if you can’t use so get gud jfl.
Next is the shaving cream: use something that softens/ hydrates/ and opens pores. Something like supply is good as it does all with being good for sensitive skin
Right after you get done shaving dunk your face into the frozen water you prepared which will SIGNIFICANTLY reduce irritation and redness.
Right after you’re gonna need a possible after shave. I highly recommend something with aloe Vera as it also helps a lot with irritation
Something like this will also help if still suffering from irritation.
After I would wait to let the skin settle as to not irritate the skin with your skincare. Like 10-15 min wait. Next do my skin care. Make sure to have a very hydrating moisturizer and sunscreen.
Thx for not DNRing
