So Eternal Oblivion is the concept of an infinite state of darkness or nothingness that is reached when you die. It’s also supposedly the state we were in before we were given life. But there’s a contradiction- if Eternal Oblivion is a permanent state, then why do we exist? Wouldn’t that mean that Eternal Oblivion is not permanent, and that it ends at some point? And if this is the only life we have, then imagine how astronomically tiny the chances are that over billions and billions of years and over multiple existences you exist at this very moment. This universe cannot be the only instance of all existences. If there is a something, then there must be an everything. And if everything exists, then that means that there is another instance of your existence in another place. Which can mean a different universe, a different galaxy within this universe (the notion of a universe is a bit cliche, because an existence can probably be much more grand and/or abstract than an existence in what we perceive as a mere universe). The amount of time it would take for you to exist again is practically infinite, but you wouldn’t have to wait for anything because in the state of Eternal Oblivion, nothing is perceived. It’s like when you fall asleep and wake up. You process none of it.
